Zalgo Text Generator Privacy: All processing runs locally
Generate creepy, glitchy Zalgo text by adding random combining diacritical marks to your characters.
How It Works
Zalgo text (also known as "glitch text" or "creepy text") is created by stacking multiple Unicode combining diacritical marks on top of, through, and below each character. The result is text that appears to be corrupted, glitching, or overflowing its boundaries.
The generator uses combining characters from the Unicode Combining Diacritical Marks block (U+0300 to U+036F). These marks are designed to be combined with the preceding character, and when many are stacked on a single character, the visual "overflow" creates the distinctive Zalgo effect.
Three intensity levels are available:
- Mini — adds 1-2 combining marks per character for a subtle glitch effect.
- Normal — adds 3-5 combining marks per character for a clearly distorted look.
- Maximum — adds 10-20 combining marks per character for extreme chaos and text overflow.
You can also control the direction of the combining marks: above, through the middle, or below the base characters. Zalgo text is popular in internet culture for creating creepy messages, horror-themed content, and attention-grabbing social media posts.
