How It Works

The Slug Generator transforms any text into a clean, URL-friendly slug. It performs several transformations: converting to lowercase, replacing accented characters with their ASCII equivalents (e.g., "u" for "u"), replacing spaces and underscores with hyphens, removing all non-alphanumeric characters (except hyphens), and collapsing multiple consecutive hyphens into a single one.

Slugs are essential for creating human-readable, SEO-friendly URLs for blog posts, product pages, and other web content. A good slug is short, descriptive, and contains only lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens.
