    How It Works

    A magnet link identifies BitTorrent content by its info hash — a unique fingerprint of the torrent's metadata. Trackers help peers find each other, but they do not host the content itself.

    Konvi randomly selects active public trackers from a locally cached tracker status file. Tracker availability is checked daily server-side. Your info hash and generated magnet link remain in your browser — nothing is sent to any server.

    Info Hash: A 40-character hexadecimal SHA-1 hash (or 32-character Base32) that uniquely identifies a torrent's content. It is derived from the torrent file's info dictionary.

    Trackers: Public trackers facilitate peer discovery by maintaining lists of peers sharing specific torrents. They do not store or transfer the actual files.

    Privacy: Your browser loads only a static JSON file from konvi.ch containing tracker health data. It never contacts any tracker directly, and your info hash never leaves your device.
